Vir Das to brighten up the IIFA this year!

Mumbai: The IIFA this year is going to have a ‘Punjabi' element, as actor Vir Das along with Boman Irani will play ‘Santa and Banta'. Besides the fact that the duo will be a delight to watch, the awards are certainly going to be a laugh-riot.

Vir Das and Boman Irani will host ‘Grey Goose IIFA Rocks' , a music and fashion event, on day two of the Bollywood extravaganza, which starts on the 4th of July . They will also host a media briefing on the first day of the event.

Vir Das is really looking forward to add humour to the prestigious awards ceremony. Talking about IIFA awards 2013, Das said, "I think that IIFA is a great and sophisticated institution. That all needs to change. I'm looking forward to bringing some madness, misbehavior and eventual apologies to this glorious institution. Sorry in advance, but IIFA is about to get Punjabified."

Apart from Vir Das and Boman Irani, Superstar Shahrukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor will also host IIFA awards this year.

The International Indian Film Academy Awards, also known as the IIFA Awards, will be held at The Venetian Macao, this year (2013). This is the second time that IIFA will be held in Macau after 2009.
