Filmfare Awards 2014: Dolly Ahluwalia Wins Best Costume Designer

As we all know, the 59th Filmfare Awards are going live. Many awards have already been announced. And when it comes to the Best Costume category, Dolly Ahluwalia wins the 59th Filmfare Awards for the year 2014 for Best Costumer. She has won the award for the movie Bhaag Milkhaa Bhaag, which had Farhan Akhtar in the lead.

As we all are aware, Dolly Ahluwalia is an Indian costume designer who is also a Television actress. She had won the Sangeet Natak Academi Award for costume design in 2001. She had also been nominated for the Genie Award For Best Achievement in Costume Design three times, and had won National Film Award For Best Costume Design in 1996 and 2012, followed Filmfare Best Costume Award in 2007. Now, once again she has managed to bag the Filmfare Award for Best Costume in 2014 too!

Dolly had won the 2007 Filmfare for Best Costume for the movie Omkara. She started off her career as a costume designer for theater artists. She then moved to the film industry and her debut movie as a designer was Bandit Queen in 1993. She won her the first National Award for Best Costume Design.
