After Tribute, Now A Sequel To DDLJ

If all goes well, then the audience will enjoy magic of the film DDLJ once again. According to the sources Aditya Chopra, honcho of the Yash Raj Films have decided to make the sequel of the film.

Sequel will be directed by Aditya Chopra who also directed the original film which released in the year 1995. As per the reports, superstar Shahrukh Khan will reprise the role Raj. But, will his Simran aka actress Kajol will team up with him and Yash Raj Films is not yet clear.

Kajol has had a strained relationship with Yash Raj Films and Shahrukh Khan after, her actor husband Ajay Devgn accused YRF for using their brand name to book more screens for their film Jab Tak Hai Jaan in the year 2012. Devgn's film Son Of Sardaar and YRF's Jab Tak Hai Jaan starring Shahrukh Khan in the lead role was released on the same day in the year 2012.

DDLJ will also complete its 20 years of release next year. Sources close to YRF said, "Aditya will direct the film and everyone's hoping it will recreate the Dilwale magic. Since the film completes 20 years next year, the idea is to pay tribute to the original film. As of now it's not clear if Kajol will be the leading lady, considering the recent issues between YRF and her."

The audience would love to watch SRK-Kajol jodi on-screen after a long time. We hope that both the actors will reunite for the sake of their fans.

The idea of making the sequel of DDLJ, came after the recently released film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania paid tribute to DDLJ.
