Anil Kapoor Jets From Dubai To Chandigarh, Campaigns For Kirron Kher

As they say in politics, there are no permanent friends or enemies, likewise, the film industry too swears by the same tagline. True bonhomie in Bollywood can rarely be seen, and even if visible, is very fickle by nature. But, what comes as a refreshing change is that the dosti between veteran hero Anil Kapoor and senior character actor Anupam Kher has surely stood the test of time.

The warm bond shared between the duo is so strong that Anil flew all the way from Dubai to Chandigarh to pitch in for his friend's wife Kirron, who is contesting the upcoming parliamentary elections as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the capital city of Punjab.

Currently lodged in Dubai, where he is shooting for Anees Bazmee's Welcome Back, the inimitable actor despite having a hectic schedule, made it a point to lend his star power for Kirron's poll campaign by personally dropping down into the city on Sunday. It was a day when the movie crew had planned to take a break. Grabbing this opportunity, Anil flew from Dubai to Delhi, from where he drove to Chandigarh.

There was a brief time in the recent past when the usually cordial relationship between Anil and Anupam turned a little sour when the former was keen to produce Gandhi My Father, while the latter was contemplating of making a movie on the Mahatma.

But, things are back on track now and the good rapport between the two senior actors is very much on display again. Following a day-long canvas for Kirron, Anil returned to Dubai late the same night. Wish to see more such camaraderie in Bollywood.
