Arijit
Singh,
who
has
become
the
craze
of
the
entire
country
through
his
finest
rendition
of
Tum
Hi
Ho
song
from
Aashiqui
2,
has
won
the
Best
Male
Singer
Award
in
Zee
Cinema
Awards
2014.
Tum
Hi
Ho,
a
romantic
song
that
hit
the
top
spot
in
music
charts
last
year,
was
designed
a
simple
romantic
song
and
Arijit
was
happy
that
it
made
it
to
young
people's
hearts
even
though
it
is
not
a
peppy
dance
track.
Earlier,
Arijit
went
on
to
record
to
say,
"It
is
very
melodious
song
which
you
can
listen
to
when
you
want
to
chill
and
relax.
After
a
long
time
this
has
happened,
and
it
feels
good.
The
young
singer,
who
was,
once,
one
of
the
top
contestants
of
Fame
Gurukul,
worked
as
an
assistant
to
music
director
Pritam
before
making
a
historical
entry
into
the
playback
singing
world.
He
recalled
those
days,
"parallely
programming
and
producing
music
tracks
and
assisting
music
directors.
That
is
my
bread
and
butter,
which
is
how
I
survived
in
Mumbai.
Now
I
can't
leave
it.
So
handling
both
of
it
is
becoming
a
problem."
Arijit
Singh
has
already
bagged
four
awards
for
his
Tum
Hi
Ho
rendition
and
this
includes
Filmfare,
Annual
Life
OK
Screen
Awards,
Global
Indian
Music
Awards
and
Star
Guild
Awards.
Tum
Hi
Ho
is
Arijit's
favourite
song
and
to
get
these
many
awards
for
a
song
which
you
keep
close
to
your
heart
is
really
wonderful,
right?
