Has
twitter
become
a
platform
for
trolling,
jokes
and
fake
death
news?
Recent
happenings
makes
a
lot
of
people
feel
so.
After
Lata
Mangeshkar's
fake
death
news,
twitterati
just
created
and
spread
Asha
Parekh's
death
rumour
too!
Just
like
Lata
Mangeshkar's
news,
this
one
also
turned
out
to
be
another
false
alarm.
Asha
Parekh
had
given
a
statement
yesterday
on
the
death
of
her
actor
colleague
Nanda
who
passed
away
on
25th
March.
Asha
said,
"I've
lost
my
friend,
confidante.I
spoke
to
her
on
Monday
night.
We
had
a
long
chat.
On
Tuesday
morning
she
was
gone.
When
I
spoke
to
her
in
the
night,
she
was
absolutely
normal.
She
was
in
no
pain
at
all,
not
even
any
uneasiness.
It
is
frightening
when
you
dont
even
get
a
chance
to
say
goodbye.
You
are
reminded
of
the
fragility
of
life."
The
death
news
got
its
bit
of
credibility
when
veteran
journalist
Rajdeep
Sardesai
mistakenly
tweeted,
"Nanda
and
Asha
Parekh
pass
away
in
same
week." But
he
himself
removed
the
tweet
and
apologized
for
the
same.
Sardesai
later
tweeted,
"Deep
apologies;
now
told
my
info
on
Ms
Parekh
passing
away
is
wrong.
Picked
it
up
from
a
tweet.
Apologies
to
all
and
esp
to
her.
Big
lesson
learnt:
apologies
again.
Will
be
much
much
more
careful."
