Confirmed: Ranbir Kapoor Will Play 'Sanjay Dutt' In His Biopic

PK director Rajkumar Hirani is pretty sure that the biopic on Sanjay Dutt may go on floors while the actor is still in jail. The director said this to a leading daily confirming the news that actor Ranbir Kapoor will play the role.

"I have got plenty of inputs from Sanju's family. I've met not only his sisters, Priya and Namrata, but also his brother-in-law Kumar Gaurav and Paresh, a close friend of his who lives in the US," Rajkumar Hirani said.

Ranbir Kapoor said 'yes' immediately. When quizzed about Ranbir's makeover for the biopic, Rajkumar said, "When you get sucked into a character and story, you don't need to look like the man."

The biopic on Sanjay Dutt is an amazing story of a flawed personality said the director to the leading daily.

Rajkumar said, "Never look at anybody in black and white. Sanju's biopic is an amazing, unbelievable story of a flawed personality. That man has suffered a lot."

Rajkumar Hirani's PK will be released on December 19 starring Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma. Also Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput has important roles in PK.
