Eternal Rekha Says She Never Wanted To Be An Actress!

Bollywood's eternal diva, Rekha who has earned huge huge fan following and popularity claims that she never wanted to be an actress.

However, considering her success graph in the industry, Rekha now feels contented to have chosen this career.

"Coming to this industry was not my choice but I am glad that it happened. I think it was well worth it," said the legendary actress Rekha.

Recalling the applause that she for her performance in the film Khoon Bhari Maang, Rekha added, "It was during Khoon Bhari Maang that I realised that I can only become an actor and nothing else."

Talking about her life and career at Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods International Institute, Rekha also said, "I kept getting roles and almost every kind of roles thereafter. Whatever was coming, I respected it and relished it along with the world which also relished it."

Some of the best films of the national award winning actress, Rekha include, Khoob Bhari Maang, Silsila, Khoobsurat and Umrao Jaan.

As a matter of fact, a remake of the film Khoobsurat is also in the making in which Sonam Kapoor will play the role of Rekha.
Also to be mentioned, Rekha will again soon be seen in an upcoming movie Fitoor, directed by Abhishek Kapoor.
