Filmfare 2014: Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Wins Best Movie Award

Farhan Akhtar starrer Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has done it on a trot! The movie, which recently won Best Movie at Life Ok and 9 Renault Star Guild Awards, has been honoured with the same at Filmfare Awards.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag faced a lot of competition from biggies but in the end, it was Farhan Akhtar starrer flick, which managed to win the top honour. Shahrukh Khan starrer Chennai Express, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Anand L Rai's Raanjhanaa and Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani were in the race.

The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Pavan Malhotra, Yograj Singh and Prakash Raj. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is based on the life of Milkh Singh.The movie is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and produced by Viacom 18.

The story of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is about a sportman's undying spirit to achive his goal and the journey of his struggles. The film won critcial appreciation as well as commercial success. Indeed, the Hindi flick was one of the highest grossers in 2013.
