Filmfare 2014: Best VFX Goes To Tata Elxsi For Dhoom 3

The year's most awaited 59th Idea Filmfare Awards is held today, 24th January, at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. The event is hosted by Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor.

Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3, which broke several records on its opening days in India and abroad, is now in race of winning Filmfare awards. Filmfare Best VFX has been awarded to Tata Elxsi for Dhoom 3.

Dhoom 3 is most expensive Bollywood film of all time, which has high octane stunts. Tata Elxsi's - VFX and animation arm - Visual Computing Labs (VCL), India's leading design company, has delivered a stellar visual effects for action-packed Blockbuster Dhoom 3.

VCL has demonstrated a vast array of visual effects solutions in Dhoom 3. VCL conceptualised and generated some key elements to control and maintain the focus on the actor's face in most of the fast-paced bike riding shots to make high-octane action scenes look real.

Tata Elxsi - VCL was also nominated for Best Special Effects in Colors Screen Awards.

Dhoom 3, an action thriller film, is written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra. The movie features Aamir Khan as the antagonist, who is paired opposite Katrina Kaif. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprise their roles as Jai Dixit and Ali Akbar, respectively, as seen is previous franchise.
