Abhishek Kapoor's Fitoor was on headlines from the time it was announced. Be it for the casting changes or roping in Rekha for the film.

Earlier, Sushant Singh Rajput was paired opposite Katrina Kaif. However, he backed off the project. Then Aditya Roy Kapur was brought in opposite Katrina Kaif. Aditya who celebrated his 30th birthday on November 16 took a day off schedule although now he is busy shooting for Fitoor in Srinagar.

Rekha will be seen in the film as well. The movie is an adaptation of Charles Dickens novel where Aditya will be seen playing the character of Firdaus.
