      I don’t Want to Direct Others’ Script: Imtiaz Ali


      Imtiaz Ali is floored by the warm reception his Alia Bhatt, Randeep Hooda starrer Highway is getting and is visiting many places to meet his audience. During his Chandigarh visit, he is seen very happy and opined that Highway film that he wanted to make, and getting warm kind of response is gratifying. The Highway director also opened up and said that he would like to direct his own scripts than borrowing ideas from others.

      He said, "The film is doing well. I am standing outside a very old theatre called Dhillon and it's enchanting to see the poster of Highway. I have come here mostly to gauge the audience's response. The Army has also invited me for a screening of the film. So, I will be attending that too. The response till now has been very emotional, personal and touching."

      He admits that he wanted to see a satisfying look on the face of his audience for the money they spent to watch the movie. "This time round I had decided that I will take all the risks and will not use any safety measures. The kind of treatment that I gave to this film is something that I had never tried before, which makes the appreciation more significant," Says a super happy Imtiaz.

      Imtiaz likes to direct his own script than taking ideas from others. He confesses, "I don't see that happening. Nor would I like another person to direct a film if the story is mine. I had written the script for Cocktail and was supposed to direct it but at that time I was busy with other things. So, Homi (Adajania) directed it."

      The director has plans of directing Bollywood's hottest young star Ranbir Kapoor and Box Office Queen Deepika this year.
