Director
Imtiaz
Ali
says
that
he
is
happy
that
his
film
makes
people
think.
He
went
on
to
say
that
people
commenting
on
a
film
by
saying
"it
is
good" is
dangerous.
He
explains,
""I
have
no
problem
with
it.
It's
good
that
there
are
mixed
reactions.
At
least
there
are
opinions.
It
is
actually
dangerous
when
people
just
say,
'It's
good'."
Imtiaz
Ali,
the
writer-director

is
confident
that
he
made
a
film
which
is
close
to
his
heart.
He
confesses,
"I
had
to
make
this
film
and
I
made
it,
and
put
in
my
best.
Mixed
reactions
mean
that
people
are
thinking." The
42-year-old
filmmaker
co-produced
Highway
with
Sajid
Nadiadwala
to
gain
more
creative
control
over
the
final
product.
The
treatment
of
this
film
is
very
new
for
Bollywood
as
it
belongs
to
Road
Movie
genre.
Highway,
which
features
Alia
Bhatt
and
Randeep
Hooda
in
pivotal
roles,
generated
positive
response
among
multiplex
audience
and
critics
alike
and.
Even
though
the
box
office
numbers
are
not
very
promising
at
this
point
in
time,
both
the
director
and
producers
are
happy
about
the
film.
Highway's
co
producer
Sajid
Nadiadwala
says,
"The
film
was
profitable
even
before
release
but
the
way
Highway
has
been
winning
hearts
since
Friday
is
really
very
encouraging.
Hope
the
love
for
the
movie
keeps
pouring
in,
in
the
coming
days."
Director
Imtiaz
Ali
added,
"I
have
not
received
such
warmth
from
the
theatre
audience
before.
Will
always
remember
this
time."
Well,
Highway
is
a
phenomenal
attempt
in
Bollywood
cinema
as
it
breaks
the
conventional
rules
of
film
making
and
takes
Indian
cinema
one
step
further.
