Two
Bollywood
celebrities,
Kirron
Kher
and
Gul
Panag
are
going
to
contest
in
Lok
Sabha
elections
this
year,
at
the
same
constituency
-
Chandigarh.
While
Kirron
is
contesting
from
a
BJP
ticket,
Gul
is
invited
by
Arvind
Kejriwal's
AAP
to
be
a
direct
candidate
in
election
from
the
same
constitution.
Before
the
'election
campaigning
war'
starts
in
real,
it
started
on
Twitter.
Gul
Panag,
who
has
got
an
easy
entry
to
be
the
candidate
for
AAP,
is
the
one
who
started
it
all!
She
tweeted,
"Doubt
if
I'll
have
the
energy
to
run
around
like
this
and
serve
my
people
when
I'm
60.
I
guess
that's
why
there's
normally
a
retirement
age." Most
people
perceived
this
as
an
indirect
remark
pointed
at
Kher
who
is
contesting
for
the
poll
from
the
same
constituency.
Kirron
was
not
furious
or
demeaning
while
she
replied,
that
too
indirectly,
for
this
mean
Twitter
remark
of
Gul
Panag.
She
tweeted,
"I
may
not
be
a
marathon
runner
but
I
know
slow
and
steady
wns
the
race.
I
love
the
josh
in
our
Karyakartas."
Kirron's
tweet
was
much
more
dignified
because
she
avoided
taking
pot
shots
at
her
opponent.
It
looks
like
we
can
be
sure
of
one
thing
-
Which
candidate
is
more
mature
and
well
behaving?
Sure,
it
is
the
veteran
Kirron.
Kirron
was
in
national
politics
much
before
the
party
gave
her
a
ticket
to
contest,
but
Gul
Panag
never
served
people
working
under
any
party,
but
very
interestingly,
AAP
has
invited
her
directly
to
be
their
candidate
from
Chandigarh.
So
much
for
transparency
and
non-elitism,
right?
