Kunal Kapoor Tries His Hands On Painting

Colors and canvas have recently caught the fancy of actor Kunal Kapoor, who took up to painting a few days ago. It was a first for the actor even though his sister Reshma owns an art gallery.

With a little bit of professional help from someone whose identity he would like to keep a mystery, the Rang De Basanti actor, Kunal Kapoor brought some rang into his life with a still life.

"I was at a friend's place. He is an artist and I asked him if I could try my hand at it too. He gave me a canvas with a face sketched on it and said, 'Have fun!' I did have fun with him helping me with my first ever painting," reminisces Kunal, adding that in an hour they'd come up with this piece of art.

Kunal has been going for art exhibitions but this is the first time he has made something on his own. "A lot of people seem to like it, but honestly its bit of a fluke," he admits. "But I would definitely like to try my hand at it again."

An art attack to please the heart? Yeah, considering he started his career with an MF Husain film, Meenaxi. Maybe one day we may just see the bearded actor with the brooding eyes as a pardesi Piccasso or a desi Husain in reel life! Let's just hope that his romance with colors and brushes lasts a lifetime.
