Mahendra
Singh
Dhoni
is
the
most
famous
cricketer
of
India
in
the
world
next
to
Sachin
Tendulkar
which
inspired
Bollywood
filmmaker,
Neeraj
who
is
the
latest
to
be
bitten
by
the
biopic
bug,
to
make
a
movie
on
this
prime
personality
of
our
country.
Sushant
Rajput
Singh
had
already
been
roped
in
to
essay
the
lead
role
in
this
biopic,
so
excited
was
the
actor
that
he
even
met
the
cricketer
and
started
to
prepare
for
his
role.
But
now
all
of
his
hard
work
will
be
beaten
to
dust
for
the
film
may
be
shelved
forever.
First
the
cricketer
quoted
a
huge
sum
of
money,
almost
Rs
45
crores
which
increased
the
budget
of
the
film
to
Rs
100
crores
and
now
the
BCCI
is
said
to
have
problem
with
the
idea
of
the
biopic.
Dhoni
had
given
his
nod
to
the
biopic
to
be
directed
by
Neeraj
Pandey
of
A
Wednesday
fame
but
now
the
BCCI
(Board
of
Control
for
Cricket
in
India)
has
told
the
cricketer
that
his
life
cannot
be
transferred
onto
the
celluloid
till
the
time
he
continues
to
play
cricket
professionally.
Dhoni
cannot
go
against
the
board
and
so
looks
like
this
biopic
may
be
shelved
for
good.
Rather
than
Dhoni,
the
makers
should
have
opted
for
Sachin,
may
be
that
would
have
worked
out.
