Mamta Kulkarni, Husband Detained In Kenya

Mamta Kulkarni, the Bollywood bombshell of yesteryear and her husband Vicky Goswani have been detained in Mombasa for alleged involvement in drug trafficking.

According to the reports, the actress who surfaced in 2013 after many years has been questioned by the Kenyan police for inolvement in drug trafficking.

Apparently, Vicky is famous for his drug involvement. He has been arrested in 1997 for trafficking 11.5 tonnes of mandrax valued at $ 6 million and incarcerated in Dubai.

Vicky is 53 years and was released from Dubai jail due to his model conduct. Vicky Goswami converted to Islam and got married to Mamta Kulkarni. She found her love in the jail.

Mamta turned into a sanyasini few years back but got married to Vicky and was staying with him in Kenya. While many say that Vicky got his life sentence reduced and got released due to good conduct, the truth behind his release being, he got converted to Islam and married Mamta for a reason.

Now they have been detained by Kenyan police. The Kenyan government is considering a deportation request from the US authorities for Vicky Goswami but Mamta Kulkarni might be deported to India only if she is formally charged as an accomplice of Vicky Goswami.

Mombasa County Commander Robert Kitur confirmed the arrest and said that "the suspects have been moved to different police stations for further interrogation".
