Not Playing Alia Bhatt's Father, Says Karan Johar

Filmmaker Karan Johar rubbished the reports of his role in director Vikas Bahl's next film. Reports were that he will play the role of Alia Bhatt's father in the movie Shaandar.

Karan Johar was quoted saying, "No, I am not doing the film. I was briefly in talks at a very initial stage. I am sure when the cast of Vikas's film is announced, it will be a terrific one, but I am not a part of it."

Actress Alia Bhatt made her Bollywood debut with the film Student Of The Year which was directed by Karan Johar. The actress calls the filmmaker her mentor and often discuss her career with him.

Karan Johar who will be seen doing a cameo role in Anurag Kashyap's upcoming film Bombay Velvet further said that people should watch the movie before offering him role in their films.

"I think only once Bombay Velvet releases should people decide on offering me more films. I don't think anybody should take a chance till then," said Karan Johar.
