One Direction Star Zayn Malik To Debut In Bollywood

One Direction star Zayn Malik is all set to make his Bollywood debut. If reports are to believed then Zayn has been approached by producers with an offer to lend his voice for a Bollywood soundtrack.

This is not the first time a Hollywood singer has been roped in, previously Akon, Kylie and Snoop Dogg too have made their debut in Bollywood. These stars not only lent their voice but also appeared in the video as well.

Mumbai producers want to cash in on Zayn's global popularity and he could easily get around £500,000 for a song.

Producer Ashwin Varde said,"One Direction has a huge following among the youth, especially in major cities. Zayn Malik is very well-known in that circle and holds tremendous promise if given the right break in a Bollywood film."

He further added, "Bollywood has always welcomed actors from the UK, like Katrina Kaif and Amy Jackson. Zayn appeals to an even younger audience, which is the driving force of Bollywood movies today."

Like other singers Zayn too could get the chance of facing a Bollywood camera. A inside source even revealed, "One very big production company is putting together an offer for him to act as well as sing. He has turned down one song so far but if the right one comes along it could be great for him."

Gulshan Grover, who was one of the first Bollywood stars to make enter Hollywood, said,"There is definite interest in getting Zayn to star in a Bollywood film or deliver a song. He has a huge fan base in India and would do really well."

He further added, "I would be happy to guide him. I'm sure he doesn't need help with the dance moves but I would be happy to teach him how to fight on-screen."

So will Zayn accept the lucrative Bollywood offer? Only time will tell.
