The
simple
yet
apt
title
of
Akshay
Kumar's
new
film,
Holiday,
has
made
Pooja
Bhatt
really
furious
as
she
claims
that
she
registered
the
title
long
back.
Pooja
accuses
producer
Vipul
for
copyright
infringement.
This
is
not
the
first
time
Pooja
accuses
an
Akshay
Kumar
for
copying
title.
Earlier,
she
had
gone
to
court
to
stop
Akshay
Kumar
using
the
title
Thank
You
claiming
that
Thank
You
is
the
title
she
already
registered
but
court
rejected
her
plea.
Pooja
Bhatt
had
directed
a
less
known
film
with
the
same
name
Holiday
featuring
Dino
Morea
and
Onjolee
Nair,
which
was
based
on
1897
American
film
Dirty
Dancing.
Vipul
officially
approached
Pooja
for
the
title
before
and
she
rejected
the
offer.
It
looks
like
even
though
her
film
Holiday
bombed
at
the
box
office,
it
is
in
the
heart
of
Bhatt
girl
in
her
ever
green
movie
list.
The
Jism
2
director,
Pooja
used
twitter
to
show
her
anger
over
the
gross
injustice,
"First
THANK
YOU
then
HOLIDAY!
Akshay
Kumar's
producers
have
an
affinity
for
the
titles
of
my
films.
Gentle
Reminder-
'Karma
can
be
a
bitch'!
Vipul
Shah
approached
me
for
HOLIDAY
&
I
refused.
He
approached
Guild-Rejected.
Next
stop?
IMPPA
where
he
registered
HOLIDAY
with
a
tag
line."
Even
though
there
is
no
point
in
not
selling
the
title
of
a
'dead
and
gone' film,
it
looks
like
Pooja
takes
pride
in
the
failed
film
and
its
title.
It
seems
that
she
has
lost
her
belief
in
judiciary
too.
The
disillusioned
actor
turned
romance
film
director
tweets,
"am
fighting
a
lone
battle
still
with
regards
to
THANK
YOU.
The
HOLIDAY
issue
proves
nothing
has
changed,
the
rot
remains
&
might
is
right!
This
is
not
about
UTV
or
Vipul
Shah
per
se.
This
is
about
a
larger
issue.
Why
register
titles
if
anyone
can
hijack
them
anytime
they
wish?"
It's
high
time
for
filmmakers
to
understand
movies
don't
work
because
of
their
titles
but
strong
vision
of
their
directors.
