Salman Khan's 'Dr Cabbie' Releases In Canada Today

Dr. Cabbie is a Canadian film that stars Kunal Nayyar, Vinay Virmani, Isabel Kaif and Adrianne Palicki.It is directed by Jean-Francois Pouliot and co-produced by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

The story is all about a newly arrived immigrant doctor in Canada who cannot get a job and is forced to become a taxi driver. He becomes a local hero when he converts his taxi into a mobile medical clinic. Vinay Virmani plays Deepak, a doctor who treats patients while driving a taxi, in Dr. Cabbie.

Sometimes a best idea for making a film will spark out of real-life incidents. Dr. Cabbie is none lesser to that true life incident.Star, co-writer and producer Vinay Virmani got this idea to make this film after a late-night cab ride in downtown Toronto from an Indian doctor who naively thought would make a living but ended up driving taxi.

About Kunal Nayyar, Virmani says, " He has always played this big nerd on TV, this guy who can't talk to women. So when he read the script, he called me and said, ‘This is great because nobody is presenting me with roles like this.'"

Salman Khan wished the team and took it to his Twitter and tweeted, "All d best @vinayvirmani24 & @ajayvirmani1 #DrCabbie."
