Shashi Kapoor Stable, Likely To Be Discharged Soon

Yesteryear's heartthrob Shashi Kapoor's condition is stable and he is likely to be discharged soon, said a source from the hospital.

"He is stable and he will be discharged in a day or two," the source told while updating the 76-year-old's health condition.

He was hospitalised on September 21 to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital after he complained of acute cough and breathlessness.

His son Kunal Kapoor confirmed the same saying: "He is recovering and he is stable right now."

Known for his work in films such as Deewar, Satyam Shivam Sundaram and Kabhie Kabhie, Shashi Kapoor has been staying away from the limelight since the late 1990s.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan took it to Twitter and prayed for Shashi Kapoor. He tweeted,"May the Almighty be by the side of one that has been ill in Hospital for a few days and make him his usual self again ..!"
