Shatrughan Sinha Gets Prestigious Award From Beti Sonakshi

Tampa Bay is all shining with IIFA 2014 Awards while, shotgun Shatrughan Sinha bags in the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema' award.

But the best part is the veteran actor receives the prestigious award by the hands of none other than his beloved daughter, Sonakshi Sinha.

Sonakshi Sinha in a gorgeous blue dress and a wide smile shares the proud moment on stage with his legendary father Shatrughan Sinha and hands over the award to the veteran star.

Shatrughan Sinha started his Bollywood career with the movie Prem Pujari by Dev Anand but owing to the film release getting delayed, his debut film is considered as Mohan Sehgal's Sajan (1969) in which Shatrughan played a small role of a police inspector.

Later, Shatrughan got good roles in films like Mere Apne (1971), Sabak (1973) and Dost (1974). However, Shatrughan claimed maximum popularity for the movie Kalicharan (1976). Shatrughan has been selected as one of the most unconventional actors in Bollywood by Rediff.

Apart from this 'Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema' award, Shatrughan is the proud winner of several other awards including ‘Pride of the Film Industry' at Stardust Awards 2003, ‘Stardust Award for Lifetime Achievement', ‘Zee Cine Award for Lifetime Achievement', etc.

Some of Shatrughan's biggest movies are Yaaron Ka Yaar, Vishwanath, Dost, Kalicharan, Kaala Pathar, Dostana, Babul Ki Galiyan, Kotwal Saab and many more.
