Singer Babul Supriyo Slams Rahul Gandhi And Calls Modi 'CEO'

Singer-turned-politician Babul Supriyo, who is about to contest in the coming election from Asansol for a Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal, slammed Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi by saying that Rahul is not fit for politics. He also mentioned that country needs a CEO (chief executive officer) like Modi who can effectively run it.

It should be noted that he is contesting on a BJP ticket. BJP is the assumed arch rival of the Congress party and Babul's opinion could be influenced by his party. Supriyo, who lend his voice to many foot tapping Bollywood songs, urged the voters to bring a single party to power as alliance politics is the culprit behind our country's present condition.

Babul said, "Alliance politics has destroyed the country. My first appeal to voters is to bring one party in power. Dynasty politics exists in India, but I don't think Rahul Gandhi is fit for the job. Whatever he says becomes a joke. I have always been against pushing someone who is not fit for the role." Only god knows the consequences of the bold comments of Babul Supriyo.

Babul seemed disillusioned with the current government ruling India, hence added, "We have seen how Congress denied Pranab Mukherjee the prime minister's chair. The party would have some credibility if senior leaders like Kapil Sibal or P. Chidambaram were pushed for the job."

But Babul was all praise for Narendra Modi, BJP's prime ministerial candidate. He added, " The country needs a CEO (chief executive officer) like Modi who can efficiently run it. He has created wonders in Gujarat and I believe the Gujarat model of development should be followed in the rest of the country."
