After Supreme Court of India declared homosexuality as illegal in the country, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has come up in favour of the LGBT community.
Sonam Kapoor terming the SC declaration as sad opined that movies portraying gay love stories might help in changing mind-set of the people.
"Unfortunately, recently there has been a law in our country which regards homosexuality as illegal and it is very sad," lamented Sonam.
Sonam who currently is having her grace presence at Cannes 2014 Film Festival during a recent interview highlighted on the possibility of making films on gay love stories in Bollywood or on inspirational but homosexual people. According to the actress this can help in changing people's thinking about the LGBT community.
"I think movies can influence the way people think and if we do start making love stories or we start making movies on people who are amazing human beings, who have done something in life, people who are inspirational and who are not necessarily straight, then I think people will start appreciating them more," opined the Kapoor girl.
Bollywood's style icon, Sonam Kapoor who is currently in Cannes as an ambassador for L'Oreal wil soon be seen in her next flick Dolly Ki Doli which is scheduled to release in the month of November.
