Star Guild Awards 2014: Vaani Kapoor Wins Best Promising Debutant (Female)

A newbie could not have expected anything better than this! Vaani Kapoor has won the Best Promising Debutant (Female) Award at Star Guild Awards 2014. Her performance in Shuddh Desi Romance has bagged her this award.

Vaani Kapoor had a huge competition from other newcomers, but her performance in Shuddh Desi Romance was chosen the best among all. Nimrat Kapoor for The Lunchbox, Prableen Sandhu for Shahid, Raashi Khaana for Madras Café and Rhea Chakraborty for Mere Dad Ki Maruti were also in the race.

Shuddh Desi Romance is a romantic-comedy film directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra.

The young actress attended the event in a black gothic look. Vaani Kapoor looked stunning in Nikhil Thampi creation. She flaunted her svelte tall figure in a black and cream saree gown.

The 9th Renault Star Guild Awards was held at NSCI stadium in Worli, Mumbai. The event started at 8 pm. The venue was packed with some of the big names from Bollywood. Salman Khan hosted the event.
