Super Nani Pushed Forward To Avoid Clash With SRK: Director

By Ians English

Director Indra Kumar, who was planning to release his Super Nani during Diwali, has pushed the release date forward to avoid a clash with Shahrukh Khan's Happy New Year.

A small-budget drama, Super Naani was scheduled for an October 24 release, but now the film starring Rekha, Sharman Joshi, and Anupam Kher, among others, will be released October 31.

"We have postponed our film and there are several reason behind this. One of the major reasons to push the film was that we want to avoid the clash with Shahrukh Khan," Kumar told.

Director Farah Khan's big-budget multi-starrer Happy New Year is expected to hit the screens during the Diwali week Happy New Year has an ensemble cast featuring Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Abhishek Bachchan, Vivaan Shah, Jackie Shroff.

It is a musical heist and a much-awaited film of the year and hence the change in release date for Super Nani is well justifiable.
