Veena
Malik,
Pakistani
actress
and
controversy
queen,
announced
her
retirement
from
commercial
films,
especially
from
ones
that
are
made
in
India.
She
confesses
that
a
Muslim
cleric
changed
her
life
absolutely.
Now
her
fans
can
see
the
glamour
girl
only
in
projects
that
have
religious
and
social
messages.
She
further
clarified,
"I
have
quit
the
show-biz
industry.
From
now
onwards,
I
will
not
perform
in
Pakistani
and
Indian
movies
and
plays." You
must
note
that
these
lines
are
said
by
the
same
model
who
created
a
furore
in
her
mother
land
by
posing
topless
for
a
magazine.
She
openly
states
that
she
is
going
to
discard
even
the
offers
which
she
agreed
to
do,
in
the
past.
She
said,
"I
am
also
going
to
refuse
Indian
film
producers
with
whom
I
had
agreed
to
work
in
their
movies."
The
news
broke
out
in
an
interview
taken
by
a
Pakistani
Journalist
when
Veena
visited
Saudi
Arabia
for
performing
'Umrah' with
her
husband
Asad.
She
also
expressed
her
willingness
to
be
a
part
of
the
projects
that
have
social
messages
in
them.
It
is
the
religious
scholar
Maulana
Tariq
Jameel
who
transformed
her
life
for
the
good."Maulana
sahib
made
me
promise
not
to
take
off
my
dupatta
(head
scarf).
And
I
will
fulfill
this
promise
for
the
rest
of
my
life," she
added.
Hope,
this
will
be
a
new
beginning
of
Veena
in
the
path
of
light
