Sonam Kapoor who turned 29 today, celebrated her birthday with her best chums. Karisma Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, her sister Rhea Kapoor were all seen in a Mumbai club with Sonam ushering in her birthday.

Sonam Kapoor had a very sober birthday bash with very less number of people. If the sources are to be believed, Sonam didn't want to throw a big birthday bash as someone in her extended family had passed away recently.

"Sonam Kapoor went to Karan's (Johar) house for dinner where Ayan Mukerji joined them. Then, later in the evening, sister Rhea called ten of her school friends and they all went to a nightclub in Lower Parel," says a source close to the actor.

The source also added, "Unfortunately, Sonam's good friends Asin and Kareena (Kapoor Khan) couldn't make it since Asin was out of town and Kareena was busy with a shoot."

Rhea Kapoor on Instagram shared a pic of Sonam and her birthday cake. Even the birthday cake is not an exemption from the fashion world. Sonam celebrated her birthday in a true fashionista style!!
