What Was Vidya Balan's First Idea About Bobby Jasoos?

Vidya Balan is essaying the titular role in Born Free Entertainment's upcoming film Bobby Jasoos however, when the producers of the movie, Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha initially approached her for the film, Vidya assumed that she may have to play ‘Kitty to Karamchand' in the movie.

But the acting powerhouse was pleasantly surprised, when she was told that she will be the protagonist of the spy-thriller.

Vidya confirms, "Dia and Sahil walked in with the director of the film Samar Shaikh and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, who penned the script and I asked them ok what is the film that you want to make about and they told me it's called Bobby Jasoos and I immediately thought oh they want me to play Kitty to Karamchand... great!"

"Then Dia told me we want you to play Bobby Jasoos and I was immediately interested because I had never imagined a female detective and I was like really? I took the script with me, read it, had a few meetings with Samar and Sanyunktha to understand their vision and as it was a great concept. I immediately agreed to do it," she further adds.

Vidya Balan will be seen in 12 different looks in Bobby Jasoos among which many are of male disguise.

Presented by Reliance Entertainment, Bobby Jasoos also stars Ali Fazal, Kiran Kumar, Arjan Bajwa, Anupriya Goenka, Zarina Wahab and Tanvi Azmi among others.
