62nd National Awards: B-Town Happy For Kangana But Sad For Shahid

The 62nd National Awards were declared yesterday and Kangana Ranaut came out as the reigning queen of Bollywood. National Awards 2015 witnessed some tough competition this year, however Kangana Ranaut's Queen and Shahid Kapoor's Haider stole the show for Bollywood.

Kangana Ranaut won the Best Actress Award and Queen bagged the Best Hindi Film award. On the other side, much expected Shahid Kapoor could not win the Best Actor Award for Haider and that certainly shocked several in the fraternity.

Nevertheless, directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, Haider managed to bag in Best Director Award, Best Costume Award, Best Playback Singer Award and Best Choreography Award.

Both Kangana Ranaut's Queen and Shahid Kapoor's Haider were the most acclaimed films of last year and both brought accolades for Bollywood. Another deserving nomination was Priyanka Chopra's Mary Kom which however had to settle down with the Best Popular Film Award.

Nevertheless, Bollywood is very happy for Kangana Ranaut being declared as the best actress and slightly sad for Shahid Kapoor for not bagging the best actor award. But one thing is certain, Queen and Haider came out victorious for Bollywood.
