Adira Is God's Greatest Gift, Says Rani Mukerji

Rani Mukerji, gave birth to a baby girl at the Breach Candy hospital, today on December 9, 2015. The baby girl has been named as Adira, a shorter name of Aditya and Rani combined.

The first time mother, Rani Mukerji, thanked all her fans, well-wishers and co-stars for their unconditional love and support. The actress was quoted as saying,

"I would like to thank all my well wishers and fans. Today life has given us God's greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans our friends and well-wishers for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy we begin this new chapter in our lives."

The first announcement of the good news was made by Yash Raj Films official Twitter account. @yrf tweeted as, "Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra become proud parents to a baby girl named 'Adira'."

Several other Bollywood celebrities such as Karan Johar, Rishi Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Uday Chopra wished the couple by sending out congratulatory tweets.

Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji, have lived a private life after getting married, and once when the news of Rani's pregnancy broke out in the media, the couple went further underground and did not reveal much information, as they did not want anything to go wrong until the last minute.

Rani Mukerji, was first admitted in the Hinduja Hospital in Khar, but later shifted to the Breach Candy hospital, as Aditya personally knew a few doctors from the hospital. Rani Mukerji, delivered her first child, a baby girl on December 9, 2015 and named the girl Adira.
