Athiya Shetty Opens Up On The Pressure Of Being Star Kids

Expectations are running high for Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya Shetty, who is eagerly waiting for the release of her debut movie Hero, starring opposite debutant Sooraj Pancholi, the son of Aditya Pancholi.

In a recent interview to Indian Express, Athiya opened up on the pressure of being a star kid, the expectations are soaring high over them. Both Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi have to meet expectations and be as good, equally or above their fathers' acting skills.

Athiya was quoted as saying "Being a star kid is tough. You get the platform and the visibility but you also get criticised for the littlest of things. People pinpoint these things, criticise it deeply and rip you apart because you are a star kid."

"They feel you should know everything before coming into the industry. We have to work equally hard. We have to work harder at times because you have a father and mother at home who are actors and are very successful and you want to match up to their expectations and what people expect you to be." says the debutant actress.

Hero, is a remake of the 1983 film titled Hero, starrer Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri and was directed by Subhash Ghai.

The movie is produced by Salman Khan and directed by Nikhil Advani, the movie stars debutant actors Sooraj Pancholi, the son of Aditya Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, daughter of Suniel Shetty.

Hero is slated to release on September 11, 2015.
