screening
of
the
movie
was
arranged
by
the

the

Deepika
Padukone
played
the
perfect
host
to
celebrities
like
Hrithik
Roshan,
Shahid
Kapoor,
Mira
Rajput,
Shilpa
Shetty,
Sonam
Kapoor,
Sridevi
and
many
others.
Bajirao
Mastani
narrates
the
story
of
the
Maratha
warrior
Peshwa,
Bajirao
I
of
the
Maratha
Empire
and
his
second
wife
Mastani.
Ranveer
Singh
and
Deepika

portray
the
role
of
Bajirao
and
Mastani,
and
Priyanka
Chopra
plays
Bajirao's
first
wife

in
the
movie.

Talking about his role in Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer Singh told India Today, ''I had 21 days to prepare, so I locked myself up in a hotel room, got into semi-isolation to kind of create this character. The mornings were about the physical transformation, the afternoons were the accent, and it was in the evening till late night that I would just sit with myself and the script and the research material and think.''
Ranveer Singh further added, ''And create a new way of walking, talking, sitting, standing, getting into the mindset of the guy. Just think what is it like to live in the 1700s, what do you do... how do you sleep, how do you wake up, what do you do after you wake up, how do you brush - do you brush? - there are so many things to take into consideration and completely transform. You could say my evenings to nights all those 21 days were all about marinating. I was marinating myself in that character.''
