Salman Khan Gets Bail From High Court; Sentence Suspended

It is a big relief for Salman Khan and his family. The High Court granted him a bail for one month. The sessions court had convicted him for the crime and slapped him with five years jail term in the 2002 hit-and-run case.

The actor had applied for bail and got two-day interim bail from High Court on Wednesday.

Today when the plea on his bail petition in the 2002 hit-and-run case was heard by High Court, the actor's lawyers said that the lower court ignored important elementary principles.

His appeal has been accepted and the High Court has told Salman Khan that his sentence will be suspended and has asked him to get a fresh bail bond.

Salman Khan has to surrender again before the sessions court and get a fresh bail bond. Meanwhile, it's a great news for his family and fans.

There were a lot of things riding on the actor's shoulders which would have gone for a toss had he been jailed. Fans are jumping with joy and celebrating outside the actor's house.
