OMG! Ranbir Kapoor Says He Felt Jealous Of This Man
In the year 2009, Deepika Padukone was shooting for the movie, Love Aaj Kal, along with Saif Ali Khan, and was dating Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir, has now revealed that he felt jealous of director Imtiaz Ali's looks back then, because Deepika Padukone, was constantly talking about Imtiaz's hairstyle and sense of humour.
Director Imtiaz Ali, had found Deepika Padukone, to be very reserved and intimidating. So to break the ice and make her feel comfortable, Imtiaz started using "cheap talks" with Deepika and made her feel comfortable around him.
Deepika Padukone, had praised Imtiaz Ali so much, that Ranbir Kapoor started looking at Imtiaz with jealousy and tashan. Ranbir was quoted as saying,
"I was jealous because she was so enamoured by his looks. She would come and tell me that he is so good looking and he has such great hair. I used to look at Imtiaz with tashan.."
Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor collaborated for the first time in 2011, for the movie Rockstar, which was shot in India and Nepal. The movie did well at the box office.
Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Imtiaz Ali, are all set for the release of Tamasha, and wanted to pay tribute to the ever-green Dev Anand in the movie. Ranbir was quoted as saying,
"The Dev Anand imitation was a part of the script. Imtiaz wanted that because Ved and Tara meet in a place and they decide they are not going to tell each other what our names are, where we are from, let's be different people so he becomes Don and she becomes Mona darling. He becomes Dev Anand and she becomes a prostitute."
Ranbir, further says that, "It was fun doing that because Dev Anand is the king of romance and we did not want to make fun of him but pay a homage to him so it was fun doing. I did a lot of classes from mimic artist because it is very hard to mimic those dialogues."
