Salman Khan Reacts On Shahrukh Khan Being Called Pakistani Agent
Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor were in Delhi on Wednesday to promote their movie, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Though the actors arrived three hours late, they made up for it by breaking into a little jig and dancing together on the title track which has become viral on social media.
At the event when media question him about Shahrukh Khan being called a Pakistani agent, he said, "This is not the platform. Let's discuss the film." But when he was probed to say something regarding the ongoing discussion in the country.
Salman said, "Aap Khud Socho. We all are here, does it make a difference? Who is sitting here, does it matter to you? You asked me a question. It did not matter. We all are Indians."
Controversial BJP MP Yogi Adityanath even compared Shahrukh Khan 26/11 mastermind terrorist Hafiz Saeed saying, both are speaking the language of terror.
And yoga guru, Baba Ramdev asked SRK to return his awards, "If he (Shahrukh Khan) is a true patriot, he should return all the money he earned after winning the Padma Shri to the Prime Ministers' relief fund, in case he plans to return the award."
But like Salman, Shiv Sena came in support of the actor saying, people should not target him for being a Muslim."This country is tolerant and the Muslims are tolerant as well. Shah Rukh Khan should not be targeted only because he is a Muslim," said Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.
He further added, "Shah Rukh Khan is a superstar only because the country is tolerant and has never thought in the name of religion."
