Singer Shankar Mahadevan Undergoes Angioplasty Owing To Severe Heart Attack

Singer Shankar Mahadevan has been admitted to the hospital owing to a severe heart attack!

The music director was rushed to hospital last when he complained of chest pain, he has undergone angioplasty and is now recuperating well, his son said, "It was mainly due to exhaustion. Dad underwent angioplasty on the first day itself when he was hospitalised. Thankfully, there weren't any major blockages. He is recuperating well and the doctors said he would be discharged within a day or two."

His spokesperson confirmed the news, saying, "Yes he has been admitted to Delhi hospital, he was feeling uneasy and the doctor advised him for an ECG (electrocardiogram) checkup and then asked him to get hospitalised for a couple of days, but he is perfectly fine, and will be back in Mumbai soon. We request to respect the privacy".

Shankar who was set to perform at an event this week in Mumbai has now been replaced by Sonu Nigam! We hope the singer recovers soon!
