Pushpa in her statement stated that Shikha Joshi committed suicide because of cosmetic surgeon Dr.Vijay Sharma as he used to harass her. Although, the doctor was missing since the incident happened, he has now come before the police with a statement, accusing the deceased of black-mailing.

In his statement, Dr. Vijay claimed that Shikha used to demand money from him and used to threaten him of killing her own self. He also alleged that the people who were with her during the incident must have forced her to take his name.

"I was not even present when the incident took place. The people who were present are responsible for her death. Bharti (Shikha's house owner) must have forced her to take my name", said the surgeon.

He also claimed that Shikha tried to kill herself in the past as well of which he has a video clip. "On March 16. 2012, I found a CD in my letter box which showed that Joshi had been hospitalised after she consumed pills and her family members blamed me for that. After that, I received many calls from her threatening to commit suicide if I don't give her money. I was tired of it. In fact, I have complained to the police and asked for call records. I have all the proof with me", Dr. Vijay said.

He further added, "I have submitted around 1500 pages of proof including all the past records, the CD, call records and police complaints. Joshi met me in 2005 and I performed breast implant surgery on her. In 2011, she met me again and asked me to do the breast implant surgery free of cost, which I refused".

When asked why was he hiding all these days since the incident happened, the doctor said that he was busy collecting all the evidences to prove his innocence.
