Shikha Joshi Suicide Case: Witness Reveals Harassment Angle

The suicide case of Shikha Joshi is being thoroughly probed by the police and in the process, many new things are coming out of the box.

Police recently recorded the statement of a girl who supposedly was one of the few people who had an interaction with Shikha just few hours before she took the drastic step.

Shikha Joshi who was seen in the film BA Pass apparently committed suicide by slitting her throat due to lack of work. Although, it is almost a certain case of suicide but police is digging deep into the case to bring out any hidden aspects.

A witness named Pushpa Parmar recently gave a statement to police in which she narrated every bit of that horrific night when Shikha killed herself.

According to her statement, Pushpa went to meet a friend named Madhubharti Pathan who resides in the same flat in Mumbai that Shikha used to stay in. In fact, Pushpa and Shikha knew each other too and so the latter came out and started a conversation with Pushpa.

Pushpa in her statement said that Shikha shared her worries about not getting any work in Mumbai and also said that she had plans to shift to Delhi. Meanwhile, Shikha left the room saying that she needs to have a bath but she was talking to someone over phone while she left, according to the statement.

Pushpa then was having a chat with Madhubharti's husband Riyaz who however, left for Malad after sometime. Meanwhile, Madhubharti suddenly came with the bad news that Shikha had cut her throat which left both the girls very panicked.

Immediately, Pushpa asked neighbours to help and Madhubharti called up her husband. Pushpa in her statement also stated, Riyaz recorded a video in which Shikha revealed that she did this as a cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Vijay Sharma and some other married men have been harassing her. Pushpa said that they took Shikha to hospital after Riyaz came back but she was declared dead at the hospital.

Previously, it was reported that Shikha committed suicide due to lack of work but now this new angle has come up and police are trying to contact Dr. Vijay.
