Sonakshi
Sinha
has
always
been
vocal
about
social
issues
and
now
the
actress
has
stood
for
animals
who
become
victims
of
a
cruel
practice.
Tamil
Nadu
is
infamous
for
a
ritual
called
Jallikattu,
during
which
several
bulls
are
subjected
to
extreme
torture
and
cruelty.
Although,
the
Supreme
Court
imposed
a
ban
on
the
practice,
it's
still
alive
in
certain
parts
of
the
state
and
thus,
Sonakshi
Sinha
has
made
an
attempt
to
bring
the
issue
to
notice
of
the
administration.
The
actress
took
to
Twitter
and
posted
a
tweet
to
MOS
for
Environment,
Forest
and
Climate
Change,
GOI,
Prakash
Javadekar
which
reads,
"Dear
Minister
@PrakashJavdekar,
please
keep
bulls
and
people
protected.
Keep
Jallikattu
banned.
(sic)".
Sonakshi
also
added
a
video
in
the
tweet
which
showed
the
amount
of
torture
meted
on
the
animals
during
the
ritual.
Sonakshi
posted
another
tweet
in
which
she
appeals
all
her
fans
to
support
the
ban
on
Jallikattu
and
ensure
its
eradication.
"I
request
any1
who
loves
animals
to
twt
@prakashjavdekar
to
STOP
this
disgusting
practice.

Lastly,
the
Dabangg
actress
expressed
a
worthy
thought
with
the
tweet
saying,
"Animals
are
never
cruel
to
animals.
Animals
don't
judge
each
other.
These
are
all
"human" traits.
And
we
think
we
r
superior.
#BanJallikattu
(sic)"
It's
good
to
see
celebrities
standing
up
for
a
noble
cause
helping
the
safety
of
animals.
