Sooraj
Pancholi
was
the
sweetheart
of
Jiah
Khan,
whom
she
loved
so
much
before
tragically
taking
her
own
life.
It's
been
two
years
now
and
Sooraj
explains
how
Jiah's
death
hurt
him
and
changed
him
as
a
person.
The
actor
says,
"Back
then,
I
didn't
get
to
meet
the
media
much
or
talk
to
them
and
explain
my
point
of
view
to
them.
I
know
people
will
be
asking
me
a
lot
about
all
this
now
and
I
am
very
comfortable
answering
all
of
it," he
said.
The
Hero
movie
debut
actor
recalls
while
talking
to
a
popular
tabloid
as
saying,
"I
did
not
feel
bad
when
the
media,
the
people
thought
of
me
in
a
certain
way.
It
didn't
matter
to
me
then.
I
was
reeling
from
the
fact
that
I
had
lost
Nafisa
(Jiah's
other
name).
Nothing
else
mattered
that
time."
Sooraj
Pancholi
says
Jiah
Khan's
death
changed
his
whole
life
in
a
lot
of
ways,
"I
have
grown
closer
to
my
parents.
I
don't
want
to
let
them
down
and
I
always
want
to
do
something
to
make
them
proud."
The
actor
admits
that
Jiah
would
have
been
very
happy
to
see
him
making
his
debut
if
she
was
alive,
"I
am
sure
she
must
have
been
happy
seeing
me
on
screen
too."
When
asked
does
he
feel
guilty
whenever
Jiah's
name
is
associated
with
him,
Sooraj
says,
No,
you
cannot
ignore
that.
For
my
entire
lifetime,
my
name
will
be
attached
to
her
and
I
am
comfortable
with
that.
I
don't
have
any
guilt
within
me.
I
loved
her
and
now
that
she's
no
more,
why
should
I
mind
my
name
being
attached
to
her?"
Sooraj
Pancholi
says
Salman
Khan
helped
him
mentally
during
the
turmoil
and
stood
tall
beside
him.
Hero
also
stars
Athiya
Shetty,
the
daugher
of
Suniel
Shetty
and
is
directed
by
Nikhil
Advani.
Hero
is
slated
to
be
released
on
September
11,
2015.
