On
16th
May,
2008
the
Talwars
found
their
only
daughter,
Aarushi
murdered
in
her
room.
A
couple
of
days
later
the
prime
suspect,
Hemraj-
the
domestic
help
at
the
Talwars
was
found
dead
on
the
terrace
of
their
residence.
This
laid
ground
to
a
5-year
long
investigation
that
changed
lives
of
many,
especially
the
Talwars.
This
is
the
highly
controversial
Noida
Double
Murder
Case
where
the
parents
were
sentenced
to
lifetime
imprisonment.
After
6
years,
the
case
reopens
in
theatres
on
2nd
October
2015
with
the
release
of
the
film,
Talvar.
With
Neeraj
Kabi
playing
as
Ramesh
Tandon,
portraying
the
real
life
Rajesh
Talwar,
Konkana
Sen
Sharma
as
Nutan
Tandon,
depicting
the
character
of
Nupur
Talwar,
the
film
throws
light
on
the
sensational
murder
of
14-year-old
Aarushi
Talwar,
played
by
Ayesha
Parveen.
The
film
encapsulates
the
real
case
by
giving
multiple
perspectives,
conducted
by
3
investigation
teams.
The
Noida
Police
team,
headed
by
DG.
Gurbachan
Singh,
Gajraj
Rao,
(plays
the
role
of
Dhaniram),
and
S.P.
Shankar
Singh
handled
the
case
for
the
first
few
days
and
hold
Ramesh
Tandon
guilty
for
Shruti's
murder.
After
a
few
days,
the
case
gets
transferred
to
the
CDI
team
with
Ashwin
Kumar
(Irrfan
Khan)
heading
the
team,
who
concludes
that
the
parents
are
innocent.
The
case
later
on
gets
transferred
to
the
second
CDI
team,
headed
by
Jai
Dixit
Kumar
(Shishir
Sharma),
who
claims
that
the
parents
had
killed
Shruti.
Over
a
period
of
time,
the
case
takes
several
twists
and
turns.
Even
with
over
90
witnesses,
approximately
28
fingerprints,
6
pieces
of
evidence,
several
hours
of
investigation
and
multiple
narco
and
lie-detection
tests,
the
case
still
remains
to
be
a
big
mystery.
A
case
of
honour
killing,
revenge
or
conspiracy?
What
do
you
think
it
would
be?
