Vidya Balan Hospitalised, Cancels New Year Plans

Actress Vidya Balan, who was planning to celebrate New Year with her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur abroad, got hospitalised after suffering shooting pains, which could be due to a kidney stone.

According to IANS, ''The couple had boarded a connecting flight from Abu Dhabi to their destination but minutes later while the aircraft was taxiing to take off, Vidya Balan suffered from shooting pain in her back. The pain was so severe that the paramedics were called on board and they were taken off. She was taken to a clinic at the airport for examination. Tests have indicated it could be a kidney stone.''

When Vidya Balan's spokeperson was asked about the actress's health, he said, "Vidya Balan is currently in expert hands at Hinduja hospital and is well on her way to recovery.''

Currently Vidya Balan is being treated at Khar Hinduja Hospital (Mumbai).
