Aditya
Chopra
&
Shahrukh
Khan's
friendship
has
come
a
long
way!
We
all
know
that
as
an
actor,
Shahrukh
got
recognised
for
playing
a
negative
character
in
Darr
and
later,
Aditya
Chopra's
Dilwale
Dulhania
Le
Jayenge
gave
birth
to
the
Superstar!
Writer
and
film-maker
Samar
Khan's
book
on
the
actor's
life,
SRK:
25
Years
of
A
Life,
is
all
set
to
release
tomorrow
(November
9,
2016)
and
it
has
shocking
details
about
Shahrukh
Khan's
relationship
with
Aditya
Chopra
&
Yash
Chopra
during
SRK's
initial
days
in
the
tinsel
town.
Here're
Few
Excerpts
From
The
Book..
'Neither
Dad,
Nor
I
Liked
Shahrukh
Khan'
Aditya
Chopra
reveals,
"Just
like
the
character
of
Raj,
my
relationship
with
Shahrukh
has
also
evolved
over
the
last
two
decades.
When
we
cast
him
for
Darr,
to
be
honest,
neither
dad,
nor
I
really
liked
him."
'Neither
Of
Us
Were
Very
Impressed'
"He
was
working
on
Rakesh
Roshan's
King
Uncle
then
and
we
had
managed
to
get
our
hands
on
the
reel
of
some
footage.
Neither
of
us
were
very
impressed
but
somehow,
maybe
because
everyone
kept
rejecting
the
negative
part,
we
ended
up
signing
him," reveals
Aditya
in
the
book.
'SRK
Doesn't
Laugh
Whole-heartedly'
"Over
the
years,
as
a
producer,
a
director
and
a
friend,
I
have
seen
Shahrukh
perform
multiple
characters
and
portray
all
kinds
of
emotions.
But
I've
always
felt,
and
still
feel
that
Shahrukh
doesn't
laugh
whole-heartedly,"
reveals
Aditya
Chopra.
'His
Laughter
Always
A
Bit
Hollow,
A
Bit
Fake'
"His
laughter
never
reaches
his
eyes.
Somehow,
it's
always
a
bit
hollow,
a
bit
fake.
I
think
that
maybe
that
has
something
to
do
with
the
fact
that
he
lost
his
parents
very
early
in
life.
I
don't
think
he
ever
got
over
that
loss."
'He
Is
The
Best
Actor
In
The
Whole
World'
"As
an
actor,
I
think
he
is
the
best
actor
in
the
whole
world
and
that
we've
seen
only
10
per
cent
of
his
talent.
That
90
per
cent
is
still
to
come
and
blow
us
away..."
'You’ve
Seen
SRK
The
Superstar,
Now
See
SRK
The
Actor'
As
a
film-maker
and
a
friend,
I
hope
that
soon,
he
is
offered
roles
that
tap
into
the
remaining
90
per
cent.
l
hope
I
can
give
him
roles
that
tell
the
world,
"You've
seen
Shahrukh
the
superstar,
now
see
Shah
Rukh
the
actor."
On
the
work
front,
Aditya
Chopra
is
gearing
up
for
his
upcoming
film,
Befikre.
The
film
casts
Ranveer
Singh
and
Vaani
Kapoor
in
the
lead
roles.
As
you
all
know,
Aditya
Chopra
has
always
considered
SRK
as
a
part
of
his
family,
we
had
also
heard
that
Aditya
took
SRK's
suggestion,
before
casting
Ranveer
in
the
film.
A
source
very
close
to
the
project
had
revealed,
"It's
a
love
story
that
needs
a
younger
pair.
Adi
even
spoke
to
Shahrukh
before
signing
Ranveer.
I
believe
SRK
will
make
a
guest
appearance
in
Befikre.
Just
like
Kajol
does
a
bit
role
in
all
of
Karan
Johar's
films
or
maybe
it
is
just
wishful
thinking
on
our
part."
