Not Salman Khan & Shahrukh Khan! But Akshay Kumar Is The Most Bankable Star In Bollywood
The Khan trio, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan might be ruling Bollywood but Akshay Kumar is not far behind as trade experts revealed that he's the most bankable actor in Bollywood as of now! Yes peeps, Akshay can also bring in mammoth numbers at the box office just like the Khans.
The movies of the Khans end up crossing the 200 Crores club but they do only one film per year, while on the other hand Akshay does 3-4 films a year and all his movies come close to the 100 Crores club. In the end, the tally is favourable to Akshay Kumar as he keeps bringing fresh revenue every 3-4 months, unlike the Khans who do it once a year!
Trade Analyst Akshaye was quoted as saying to Bollywoodlife, "Akshay may not have entered the 200 crore club yet but his films release at regular intervals (every 3-4 months) and earn nearly 80-90 crore each. That's a steady stream of money that enters the industry after every 3-4 months. That makes him highly profitable for everyone. Despite not having a 200 crore film, he is right up there with the Khans who release one film a year and earn more than 200 crore. He is quite clearly the ATM machine for the industry!"
Akshaye, further commented, "All his films are typical masala entertainer. He knows what his audience likes to see him in and doesn't deviate from it. He sticks to the usual. He knows just too well how to play to the gallery. He doesn't experiment much. Yes, he has done a Special Chabbis but that too was a mainstream entertaining and engaging film. What I meant by no experimental film here is that we never see Akshay doing a Gangs Of Wasseypur ever."
