Alia Bhatt's dream to star in Dil Chahta Hai “girl version” might come true. All thanks to film-maker Farhan Akhtar as he's thinking about gong ahead with the idea as it's something new & different.
A few months ago, Alia Bhatt had revealed that she'd love to star in a girl version of Dil Chahta Hai and it looks like her dream might come true! All thanks to film-maker Farhan Akhtar. The thought of the movie has been on his mind since a year and he opened up by saying, "I am thinking about it very strongly, but this time with three girls [as the protagonists]. We will see how it goes."
Farhan Akhtar even discussed the girl version of Dil Chahta Hai with Alia Bhatt on a lighter note. He said, "I met her at the Kapoor & Sons screening. After the screening, I told her, 'Alia, I guess you told someone that there should be a Dil Chahta Hai part two with three girls, and I wanted to tell you that I may be considering it.' And she was like, 'Oh, really?' And I said, 'Yes, and you will love it when you watch it (laughs).' She was like, 'How sick! How mean (laughs)!"
Also, the next chick flick in Bollywood is Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Richa Chadha starrer Veerey Di Shaadi. The film is a tale of fun, laughter and friendship of the girl gang and their trip to attend their friend's wedding. The movie is Rhea Kapoor's directorial debut and a lot of expectations are there from the movie.
If Veerey Di Shaadi fares well at the box office, then Farhan Akhtar might get a lot of confidence to go ahead with his plan and it will be proved that chick flicks are here to stay in Bollywood. People do want to see something new and what can be better than a movie revolving around women and their adventurous journey in life.
