When Asin Met Rahul
Akshay Kumar and Asin were on a promotional spree for Housefull 2, that is when Akshay introduced Asin to his good friend Rahul Sharma. In a way, he played cupid in their life.
Soon The Two Started Dating
Rahul fell in love with Asin just after the first meeting and asked her if he could meet her parents, telling her that he was sure she was "the one for him". But Asin wanted to know him better before taking such a big step and soon the two started dating.
They Dated For Four Years Before Tying The Knot
After keeping their relationship under wraps for almost 4 years, Asin finally admitted to dating Rahul Sharma in an interview during the promotions of her film All Is Well.
How Rahul Proposed To Her
When Asin was in Delhi for an event, Rahul invited her to the presidential suite of a hotel, where he had created a treasure hunt for her. At the end of the hunt, he went on his knees, with apparently a 20-carat solitaire ring worth Rs 6 crores! WHOA!
The Big Day
Asin and Rahul tied the knot in both Hindu and Christian rituals in a low-key affair in Delhi in January 2016. Later, they organised a big reception for their industry friends in Mumbai.
On a related note, Asin once revealed that her love story is quite similar to her film Ghajini. She had said, "Just like my character Sanjana in the film faffs and makes up the story of being linked to Sanjay Singhania, that I met him first at the Mumbai airport, and that he said a hi and I said hi and how he came and sat next to me and then said I love you. My story is eerily similar to that.''

"Rahul is very selfless and outstandingly secure and I feel that's pure love, the rest is selfishness. Throughout the relationship, his sole concern is my happiness. Also he is level headed, mature and along with all of that, the fact that he is so grounded, and simple. He is very correct in doing things the right way," she had added.
