Asin Thottumkal and her fiancé, Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma, will tie the knot in New Delhi today on January 19. According to recent reports, Asin and Rahul will have a church wedding in the morning and a Hindu marriage ceremony in the evening at Dusit Devrana.

Only close friends and family members will attend Asin and Rahul Sharma's grand wedding including Akshay Kumar, who introduced Asin to Rahul. A special reception will be organised on January 23rd for Asin and Rahul Sharma's Bollywood friends.

Talking about Rahul, Asin told a leading daily, ''My story is eerily similar to the story of my film Ghajini. Rahul and I first met at the private airport of Mumbai.''

''I was going to another country for work with Akshay Kumar for the promotions of Housefull 2. Now, I have just walked in and Akshay takes these early morning flights.''

Talking about Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma's wedding, a source told HT, "Both the ceremonies will be private. While around 50 guests are invited for the Christian wedding, the Hindu ceremony will be attended by 200 guests. In all likelihood, there will also be a private house party next day at Rahul's farmhouse at Sonali Farms, West End Greens."

The source further added, ''A special 10-tier vanilla-flavoured cake is being designed for the occasion. The menu of the events will be strictly vegetarian. Asin will be seen wearing designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee's creations at her wedding functions.''

When Akshay was asked about Asin and Rahul in a previous interview, he had said, "I've been hiding this for three-and-a-half to four years. Yes, I got them to meet and Jacqueline was also a part of it, but she didn't realise it because I played it very slyly. It was during Housefull 2 and we were in Delhi. Don't laugh, but we were playing hide and seek, and I made the two of them hide together in one cupboard. That is how it started and it is so nice that they are getting married now."
