Filmfare Awards 2016: Priyanka Chopra Wins Best Actress In Supporting Role (Female)

Priyanka Chopra is on a all time high, the actress wins yet another award for her brilliant acting capabilities. The actress had recently taken home the People's Choice Award and now yet another honour falls in her kitty.

61st Britannia Filmfare Awards took place on 15th January and Priyanka Chopra won the award for the best actress in a supporting role.

The actresses who were nominated in the category of Best Actor In A Supporting Role (Female) are:

  • Anushka Sharma - Dil Dhadakne Do
  • Huma Qureshi - Badlapur Priyanka Chopra - Bajirao Mastani
  • Shefali Shah - Dil Dhadakne Do
  • Tabu - Drishyam
  • Tanvi Azmi - Bajirao Mastani
The actress could not attend the awards show due to prior commitments and so her co-star from the film, Deepika Padukone came on stage and received Priyanka's award!

Priyanka totally deserved that win for she performed wonderfully and if her acting caliber is anything to go by, she never had any competition from other actresses. Kudos to Priyanka and Bajirao Mastani.
